Internet Marketing and the Consumer

With everybody feeling the effects of the global economic recession, it is of little surprise that people are concerned with reducing their expenses and saving money.

However, numerous news articles and previous Gillissa blog posts have described the continued success of internet marketing within such a difficult period for the consumer.

Recent studies by Burst have continued the trend of portraying positive news in regards to online shopping.

Despite the recession, 85% of consumers intend to shop online, 57% of consumers intend to use the internet to compare different retailers on prices for products, and 55% intend to use the web to compare brand’s features.

These figures illustrate the importance of the internet to the consumer nowadays, enhance by the fact that 33% of those who did not make an online purchase this year plan to do so this year.
