When a new account is created, you must choose a billing option and time zone.
Neither can be altered again once setup has been completed, so choose carefully.
There are two ways that bills can be paid:
- Post-Pay: Post Pay is ultimately the most common and safest payment method available. This payment method allows you to pay only after you accrue costs for advertising activity. The top right hand corner of the billing summary page illustrates how frequently you will be billed by Google. This system of payment is also viable on a bank account, credit card and direct debit.
- Pre-Pay: Prepay allows you to pay for your advertising in advance of receiving clicks or impressions. If you run out of funds however, Google will pause your account. Only works within a bank account.
